Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is located in a wonderful high town area of Autun, close to the cathedral with fantastic views over the countryside. The rooms, however, felt a bit dated and resembled a school dorm rather than a hotel. The staff were friendly but the service had some hiccups. The dining experience was below French standards, and the breakfast left much to be desired. Overall, it was a decent stay, but there’s room for improvement in several areas.
I had a pleasant stay at this hotel while exploring Burgundy. The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable, offering good value for the price. The location was excellent for visiting Autun with a beautiful courtyard and garden. However, the service could use some improvement, as it wasn't as welcoming or helpful as I'd hoped. Overall, it was a great choice for travelers passing through the area.
Overall, my stay at the hotel was quite pleasant, thanks to the comfortable rooms and the stunning view overlooking the garden and Monts De Morvan. The service was professional and helpful, especially during dinner in the unique Chapel setting. One downside was the poor quality and limited choices for breakfast, which could use an improvement. The location was excellent for exploring the charming old town and nearby attractions.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The location is fantastic, being close to the upper village and the ancient Roman ramparts, but the rooms need some serious attention—they're outdated and a bit shabby. The service was hit or miss, and while I found the staff somewhat helpful, they didn't seem very connected to the hotel itself. Eating at the hotel was quite pricey for what you got, but there are good options in town, which I preferred.
The hotel has a great location, right near the ancient Roman ramparts in Autun, which is perfect for exploring the area. Unfortunately, the rooms left a lot to be desired with outdated furniture and issues like stains and discomfort. The service seemed a bit too controlling at times, but it had its moments of friendliness. Overall, it's not ideal but has potential considering the reasonable price for the location.
